Isabel was born at Melbourne, Australia. Her father is Australian as is her mother who is Swiss. Her family is originally from Cairns in Australia. They resided in Cairns Australia. She attended school with Nina as well as children of different backgrounds, such as First Nations. Isabel lives in Byron Bay, NSW Australia. Isabel was engaged in drama from her school days. She then studied Drama at the Queensland University of Technology (Victorian College of Arts) and, more recently, Perdekamp's Emotional Method PEM. In 2002, her agent discovered that she had not performed in a stage production before. She auditioned for a role on the show Home and Away 1998. It was not her choice to play the part, however she was able to impress enough producers that they decided to create a brand fresh one for Tasha.
